Firstly, Research in Motion (RIM) has always maintain a very strong relationship with the Telcos (at least, that's the case in Singapore). Frontline are taught how to use, how to promote, how to explain simple technicality of BlackBerry's Pushmail. I bet most don't even know that handset such as HTC Touch already has Enterprise Push Email (thanks to MCwai for this info), even for those who own them.
Secondly, only large MNC has Microsoft Enterprise Email server. Bulk of the BlackBerry fan base are still relying push via internet. Unless, Apple has a new development at this area, if not it is still far cry from intimidating BlackBerry's leader position.
Whatever it is, The Joy of Tech is having fun mocking the BlackBerry.
