JUST few days ago, Singapore launched its latest zoo at Jurong. No minister was there to grace the opening, but it has so far attracts thousands of visitors each day. Huge success!
According to newspapers, they were mainly there to see the 3 little cute monkeys. Also not forgetting the elephant. Visitors brought them bananas, peanuts and joss sticks. Hey wait!! Joss sticks?!!? What the ...
Yeah .. I am referring to them ...
First, Singaporeans swamped the "Chinese monkey god" tree, now there is another "Hindu elephant deity - Ganesha" tree. Soon, they will be setting up new zoo for Singapore in Jurong West Street 42. You would see more headlines like:
"Tiger-Tree found in Jurong West Street 42!! Male devotees pray for greater manhood!"
"Jurong West residents are proud to present you the new Panda Tree"
ChannelNewsAsia: Singaporeans queued overnight to take a glimpse of the rare Rhino Trees!"
May I know what is wrong with these Singaporeans?
I think if the authorities are clever enough, they would soon take over the trees of Jurong West Street 42 and then make it like a place of interest. Those who want to pray one, must pay for the entrance fees. Not bad de mah..
In fact, according to another blog wackysingapore: there is already this uncle selling ice-creams to visitors about 15m from the trees. Great Singaporean entreprenuership!! Haha!!
